This design uses the complex yet beautiful detail in a street map as a representation of the lines you see when a butterfly wing is magnified. The contrast between the technical cartography and the organic, flowing shape of the butterfly is a metaphor for the often precarious relationship between mankind and our natural environment. This is the first in a series which will feature cities from across the globe.

This is gorgeous, simply gorgeous. I love the way you describe the map lines reminding you of the veining in a butterfly's wings as your inspiration. A very clever concept!

The simplicity of this design is super refreshing, the parallel of the city roads to the pumping veins of the butterflies wings is a beautiful graphical idea. Technology and nature in harmony undertones. Nice.
