This design uses the complex yet beautiful detail in a street map as a representation of the lines you see when a butterfly wing is magnified. The contrast between the technical cartography and the organic, flowing shape of the butterfly is a metaphor for the often precarious relationship between mankind and our natural environment.
This is the first in a series which will feature cities from across the globe.

This is gorgeous, simply gorgeous. I love the way you describe the map lines reminding you of the veining in a butterfly's wings as your inspiration. A very clever concept!
Wow, I love this! The background design elements and type are really nicely done!
Both aesthetically pleasing and practical. Art theory teachers, look out!
would love to see this as a series with a ton of cities.
Thanks for all your positive feedback.
Very cool. Seems perfect for the medium.

Frisco, LA ,Detroit, Chicago, NY, Rio, Sydney, Paris, Amsterdam, London, and more to come
Awesome!!!
Genius concept. This would look great on my wall cut out too.
The simplicity of this design is super refreshing, the parallel of the city roads to the pumping veins of the butterflies wings is a beautiful graphical idea. Technology and nature in harmony undertones. Nice.
