Can you share a little about the piece and how you conceived it?
The artwork for me is about breakups. The characters are called Max and Roma. Their names are actually taken from a diner near where I live. This diner is the place the illustration is about, a place where the two characters frequented and decided to be together, even if that metaphorical place was not the best place to be in. The windmill in the center symbolizes how one event can totally change your view. The title, Kill for Love, means the feelings are not the same anymore, they are faded and dead. The place then loses its magic. It becomes the ordinary place that it really was.

People I meet, friends, the things I see and life experiences, in general. The Philippines is very colorful, I think that has influenced me a lot as well.

Dinosaurs! I’d like to make something around this theme but in the same style and face as my characters.
What was the last thing you sketched?
There’s one of someone I just met. I liked her hair so much I sketched it. I’ll probably add monsters coming out of her hair or something!
What’s the most extraordinary canvas you’ve painted on?
So far, it would have to be shoes. It’s a little trickier than others, but it’s a lot of fun.

When friends have let me doodle on their office walls. Also whenever I receive emails from people who appreciate what I do.
