About

I began drawing in very early in childhood. In school I always doodled all sorts of stuff like cars and spaceships. Constantly getting yelled at for "not listening" while drawing. I started skateboarding after watching "Back to the Future". Skateboarding opened my eyes to view things a little differently, to see "fun" in ordinary things. It also introduced me to skate art. After highschool I got a degree in design and worked as graphic designer for 10 years. Burned out in the job, I quit to open a skate shop “Aura Boardsports” with my wife Angie. Through my shop I began creating custom decks with paint markers and sharpies for customers and eventually moved to silkscreen in order to create limited editions of skate decks. During this time I found popdeck.com, an online community of artists that were using skateboards as canvases for their work. When the popdeck community moved to Infectious I really felt at home. I make it a point to vote for each and every piece of artwork posted here at Infectious. I'll chime in with help and critiques and post art whenever something makes it to the computer screen from my head.
