Tell us about this piece.
I Like Robots…: I’m inspired by robots, especially those vintage Japanese shows where a person is riding a robot. I thought of using the entire deck to create this giant robot, so it is something like that.
Retro Stuff is Better: Well, I believe in concepts that are made to fool people. Like, “is that an iPhone or a tape recorder?”. With that in mind, I came up with the idea of turning an iPhone or iPod into something that would deceive the eye, so I made this little retro gadget. I’d love to expand on this idea and do a camera and some more old stuff.
Are you a skater?
Yes. I was a skater once, and still love it: the brands, the decks, and tee shirts. Having the opportunity to design these products and see them printed is unreal. I guess I could say that I don’t have one memorable experience, just the memory of not having enough cash to buy a pair of Vision SW suede tennis shoes. I recently bought them!
Would you share some things in your workspace that inspire you?
Robots, books, beer, technology.

What’s the art scene like where you live?
It’s a small country with a small scene. There are some cool designers, but not much going on.
What are you really into right now?
Designing more stuff- not just tee shirts, and getting my work out there. I would really love to be published in a book some day.
What would be on your quintessential mixtape?
Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, and Nine Inch Nails just to name a few.
What websites do you check out regularly?
Ffffound, Design You Trust, anything related to design. Sixpack France is a site I love. They are doing really different stuff which I think is really cool.
What are your vices/guilty pleasures?
I’m in love with design. I buy books and tee shirts compulsively. I also love to drink and am living some kind of bohemian lifestyle.
What’s the first picture you can remember drawing as a child?
Scenes from the first Star Wars movie. I drew the whole movie in my school notebook.
If you had to change careers, what would be next?
I would open a bar or a sushi restaurant. I’ve always like the idea of owning a sushi lounge.
What’s your motto?
I don’t read. I see images.
