WILL THE VINYL DAMAGE MY LAPTOP?
Absolutely not. The adhesive is a “changeable” adhesive which is designed to be removed easily without heat or solvents. It does not leave any residue goo when you remove it.WHAT IS INFECTIOUS LAPTOP ART MADE OUT OF?
Our Laptop Art is made of a durable and easy-to-remove 3M vinyl material that is 5.5 mm thick. It has special "comply" cross-hatch channels so that you can push out any air bubbles really easily. The adhesive is contained in little beads on the back of the vinyl, it is only when you apply firm pressure and burst them the vinyl adheres properly. This means that providing you don't apply firm pressure (and you're careful) you can reposition your vinyl multiple times without damaging it. The vinyl also has a protective high gloss over-laminate that minimizes scratching to the top of your computer.DOES INFECTIOUS LAPTOP VINYL PROTECT MY COMPUTER?
Minimally. It will protect the top of your laptop from scratches but the main purpose of Laptop Art is for you to express your taste rather than advertise the computer manufacturer. Make your laptop stand out from the hordes of others out there!HOW MUCH SURFACE AREA DOES THE LAPTOP ART COVER?
It covers just the top of the laptop, though you can always customize inside by the keypad with Elements, Infectious logos and the Artist Signature piece.WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FULL LAPTOP ART AND ELEMENTS?
A Full Laptop piece of art is a complete rectangle that you lay flat on the top of the computer. If you are a Mac owner this will cover the Apple logo (which does no harm to either the vinyl or your computer). Elements are individual stickers where you choose where you want to collage them on your computer, both inside and out. With Elements you can choose whether you want to cover up the manufacturer's logo or not.How do I know what size Laptop Art to get?
If you're a Mac owner simply select the size of your laptop (12", 13", 15" or 17"). If you're unsure what size laptop you have grab a tape measure - a 13" Macbook means that if you measure your screen diagonally it is 13". If you're a PC owner, then measure the height and width of the cover of your laptop and select the laptop size closest to the dimensions of your computer on this chart. You may have to get one that is to big and trim it for a custom fit. Helpful hint: after trimming use a pen cap to trace and cut a rounded corner on your Laptop Art.HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO INSTALL?
For a Mac owner it’s a peel and stick job, it will take just a matter of minutes. PC owners will have to set aside more time as you will have to measure your computer and trim the art for a custom fit. We highly recommend using the cut guide we have provided. Do NOT cut the vinyl while it’s on your computer!WHAT IF I SCREW UP?
Don’t panic and don’t apply any pressure to the vinyl! Carefully peel the entire graphic off without stretching it and try again. If you think you’ve stretched the vinyl in any way, remove it completely, lay it back down on the backing paper and take a blow dryer and heat it gently. The vinyl has “memory” and this heat will make it shrink it back to it’s original shape. Reapply.HOW MANY TIMES CAN I TRY AGAIN IF I SCREW UP?
If you're like us and a little OCD-like with lining up your art perfectly, if you don’t get it right you can try again a few times. We recommend keeping hold of one corner of the vinyl right up to the last minute, so that if you do want to reposition your vinyl you can easily peel it up again. Just don’t press down hard until your ready to commit to the art in that position! The adhesive has a technology which is made up of micro-bubbles which burst and adhere fully when you apply firm pressure to the vinyl.I GOT A CREASE! WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Peel up the corner closest to the crease and then peel the vinyl a few inches past the crease. Hold the corner in the air at a 90 degree angle and take a blow dryer and gently heat the vinyl. Make sure you do NOT direct your hairdryer at your computer! Breathe and reapply...HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
The adhesive will last up to three years. Though you can peel it off next month and change it up for another artist if you wan t to.IF I COVER UP THE APPLE LOGO WILL IT DAMAGE THE VINYL?
Covering the Apple logo up won't do any damage to your laptop or to the vinyl. If you don't want to cover up the Apple though, you can always try our Laptop Elements which you can collage around the logo.DOES THE APPLE LOGO SHINE THROUGH?
Only slightly when you're in a dark environment.IS THERE ANYTHING THAT I NEED TO DO AFTER MY INSTALL?
The adhesive is less powerful than our car vinyl, every once in a while you may want to press down the vinyl on corners and curves.IS MY VINYL RE-USABLE?
It is not intended for multiple use but If you are extremely careful when you remove your product then you can certainly try. The adhesive may not be as powerful as the first time you apply it though. Tip: keep your backing paper to put your vinyl back onto if you're not transferring it immediately, you don't want to get any dust or dirt on the adhesive.HOW DO I REMOVE MY VINYL?
Pick a corner and peel it back carefully at an angle. Take your time. Having a helper is safer and as they say, two pairs of hands are better than one.CAN I PUT MY LAPTOP ART ON OTHER SURFACES?
Each of our product lines has been developed with a vinyl designed for its specific purpose. Feel free to try putting it on other flat surfaces, but we only recommend Laptop Art for laptops.CAN I SHARE A PHOTO?

We recommend storing the vinyl flat and installing it within six months of purchase for maximum adhesion. If the temperature and humidity are high in your storage area it may affect the adhesive. Make sure the paper backing never gets wet.WILL THE COLOR OF MY VINYL LOOK DIFFERENT FROM THE WEBSITE?
It will probably look slightly different. The color on your computer screen will never show the true color of the vinyl.HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?
