Yes Infectious Skins will protect from minor scratches. For iPhones we also recommend getting a clear plastic case for extra protection. The main purpose of Infectious Skins though are for you to express your taste and make your device stand out from the hordes of others out there!WHAT ARE INFECTIOUS SKINS MADE OUT OF?
They are made of a durable and easy-to-remove 3M vinyl material. It has special "comply" cross-hatch channels so that you can push out any air bubbles really easily. The adhesive is contained in little beads on the back of the vinyl. It is only when you apply firm pressure and burst them that skin adheres properly. This means that providing you don't apply firm pressure you can reposition your art multiple times without damaging it. The skins also have a protective gloss over-laminate that minimizes scratching to your device.WHAT IF I SCREW UP APPLYING MY ART?
Carefully peel the entire graphic off and try again. If you think you've stretched the vinyl, remove it completely, lay it back down on the backing paper and take a blow dryer and heat it gently. The vinyl has "memory" and this heat will make it shrink it back to it's original shape. Reapply.If you get a crease with your Laptop Skin - peel up the corner closest to the crease and then peel the vinyl a few inches past the crease. Hold the corner in the air at a 90 degree angle and take a blow dryer and gently heat the vinyl. Make sure you do NOT direct your hairdryer at your computer! Breathe and reapply...
DOES STICKING ON THE SKIN AFFECT THE WARRANTY OF MY DEVICE?
There is no disassembly of your device. Infectious Skins simply sticks to the surface, so your vinyl should not void a device warranty. But please check your warranty to be certain.HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
The adhesive will last up to three years. Though you can peel it off your Skin next month and change it up for another piece of art if you want to.IS MY VINYL SKIN RE-USABLE?
It is not intended for multiple use but If you are careful when you remove your Skin then you can certainly try. The adhesive may not be as powerful as the first time you apply it though. Tip: keep your backing paper to put your vinyl back onto if you're not transferring it immediately, you don't want to get any dust or dirt on the adhesive.HOW LONG CAN I STORE THE DEVICE SKIN?
We recommend storing the vinyl flat and installing it within six months of purchase for maximum adhesion. If the temperature and humidity are high in your storage area it may affect the adhesive. Make sure the paper backing never gets wet.Laptops

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FULL LAPTOP SKIN AND AN ELEMENTS DESIGN?
A full Laptop Skin is a complete rectangle that you lay flat on the top of the computer. If you are a Mac owner this will cover the Apple logo. Elements are individual stickers where you choose where to collage them on your computer, both inside and out. With Elements you can select whether to cover up the manufacturer's logo or not.HOW MUCH SURFACE AREA DOES THE FULL LAPTOP SKIN COVER?
It covers just the top of the laptop, though you can always customize inside by the keypad with Elements, Infectious logos and the Artist Signature piece.IF I COVER UP THE APPLE LOGO WILL IT DAMAGE THE VINYL?
Nope - it does not harm the vinyl or your computer. If you don't want to cover up the Apple though, you can always try our Laptop Elements which you can collage around the logo.DOES THE APPLE LOGO SHINE THROUGH THE FULL LAPTOP SKIN?
Only slightly when you're in a dark environment. We will soon be launching Laptop Skins with the logo cut out of the vinyl so that the logo beams through.HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO INSTALL?
For a Mac owner it's a peel and stick job, it will take just a matter of minutes. PC owners will have to set aside around 15 minutes as you will have to measure your computer and trim the art for a custom fit. We highly recommend using the cut guide we have provided. No - Touch vinyl art covers the back and has a small piece of art to stick at the bottom on the front of the device.
All art has been designed so that it will not impede your dock and any accessories you use.
