I was hoping to make a custom skin for the MacBook that would cover the shiny apple while taking advantage of the light it emits for the design.
Can anyone tell me if light is able to bleed through the skin material or is it too thick?

if you cover the glowing apple you’ll see a little light through it, especially in a dark room. but for the most part it hides the logo. if you want the logo exposed, you should check out one of the laptop skins with the apple cut out.
go here and click ‘for macs only’ on the left.

No, that’s perfect. The idea is to play with the light bleeding through to make a design that truly ‘shines’ in the dark :) If it were completely opaque, that would defy the purpose.
Cheers!
