Almost There!

I like this a lot for some reason. One thing I would change. I wonder if instead of cutting the hand off at the bottom like that if you could have more of the "roots" added in red as if they were the "roots" of the arm in some way. Sorry if this does not make sense . . .

Agreed - red severed hand could seem less empowering to some. I feel like the detail is a bit blown out too - could use more definition around the thumb and fingers.

Alternately There could be something in front of the wrist (clouds, mountains, etc...) so that the fist is emerging from something/somewhere (?)

I like the suggestion about adding more to the arm. The red works well.
