You need to vary the sizes of the cats and create some tension, drama, and well, better composition. It feels a bit like wallpaper right now, as opposed to an original design.

I like the minty green & i agree with 'ThirstyFly', in the sense that the repetition and quantity of the cats feels like a wallpaper.

maybe focus on a select few? and use colours with more correlation. 'adobe kuler' (which can be googled) really brings attention to what colours work well together.

Conceptually it's a little lacking and the cats don't really relate to one another. As a simple pattern it could be worked a little harder and something nice could come out of it.

I think you need to work on the colors, as well as coming up with a better layout. Right now the layout is too flat, uninteresting. It is a cute image though, I just think you need to push it a bit more! Good luck my friend!

Can you put 1 cat in the foreground performing action? 1 or 3 cats. If you use 2 cats, put a yarn ball between them. If you do that, though, I feel the pattern might have to recede a little more into the background color.

If this doesn't work on Infectious, submit it to Spoonflower -- it would make a really good fabric design.

ok the cats shapes are very well designed. I love those things but I think its just too static. Vary the sizes and spacing maybe?

Needs to be white cats on pink background. Remember who is likely to buy this type of design.
