Concrete Deer ver1
by chaitanya krishnanAnother image in the concrete texture series i created a while back.. decided to put these to some use... this is meant to be a neat and clean laptop skin... adding a little texture to a smooth surface has always seemed to add character to otherwise smooth, assembly line products. this time i added some graffiti

i don't quite get it... what is the relationship between the deer (not an endangered species), the endangered species message and the concrete treatment...... am i missing something. I like the deer and concrete visually, just not sure how it all ties together.
I saw that you had several other concrete animals, maybe if you put them together it would feel more cohesive. Also is that a deer or an ibis ?
I agree, I like the concrete theme, but don't feel like you have quite found the theme to make it all cohere

the animal was representative of endangered deer species (yes not all deer are endangered) anyway, its a very weak idea right now. will re-work it.
I like the chalk feel of the text. I think overall though, you could push the design further.
i think you should focus on one of the concrete designs and really make it rock. it is a great concept. and the concrete texture could be very cool. definitely resubmit it to critique

this reminds me of the chalk advertisements used on college campuses.....i like the overall idea, it just needs some work as others have mentioned
maybe try getting some variety with the text by adjusting where it actually fits on the laptop so all the text is not on the same side.
