Good idea. Especially given the dead-center composition of the apple.

Looks really copy-paste to me. Needs some dimension. Perhaps try making some planets appear closer/farther.

The planets should also have a shadow on the side facing away from the sun. Would add more believability.

Also the one planet that does have a shadow (Venus?) appears transparent on it's shadow side. You can see stars where there would be a black circle.

this would be fun with something unexpected thrown in..like an alien. i agree with the shading comment from above. it looks a little one dimensional

To obvious, a picture? Maybe if it was a really detailed fantasy illustration.

a more traditional depiction of the solor system would work better. You'd still have to exagerate but not this badly
