Almost There!

I like the one with white outlines best. I don't know what the word murder has to do with it but other than that I think its perfect...

Yeah. I like the first one too. The word "murder" does not add a thing, specially when you say you want to pull out the bright side of it. Otherwise, i think this can turn into something great. There are 3 rays/beams/lights/whatever-it-is-called in the center region that are plain grey. I think they don't play so well there. Maybe if they were gradients too they'd play along better with the rest of the image.
Anyway, this can definitely turn into something great.

This image has some really strong graphic qualities! Why murder? That is the element that throws me off.

Yeah, agree, I like all of it except the word murder. In a world of negativity maybe you could totally change the angle on that. Something like 'Growth' or 'Growing'.

It is just to bizarre to put the word murder in your design. Are you projecting a fantasy here or are you trying to drive away anyone who might be near the person silly enough to have a skin on their iphone that said that?
