very cool. I guess these will be silk screened hence the 8 color limit. Any belt printing or over-sized printing capabilities. I have a few I’ll need to submit.

can we check somewhere how much people voted for the design? Sounds way more honest.

@pili you can show us your art on the t-shirt template you provide, or you can create your own submission with a personal photo. Any which way you want, as long as we see it on a tee.

@design.fool you can submit as many as you like – all we ask is that you space them out of the course of the contest. It’s not fun for the community to have the voting gallery inundated with the work of one artist and the design tends to not do quite so well in voting. Space ’em out but the more the merrier.

@SimoneOne Once the design has gone through its five days of voting then the score and how many votes a design has accrued shows up on the voting page.

Are there any international regulations on this comp? U.S only for example? Sorry for noob question.

I have a little question. I’ve seen some designs close earlier (like mine) then some others that get more time for voting. Does this have something to do with the number of votes a work receives?

Yup! Makes sense. I guess i didn’t got that clearly. I was thinking about the open submissions settings, and was a little berserk when i saw that there was like 8/9 days until the closure… and suddenly it closes. But i got it now. Thanks for the info :)

Depends on the contest. All of our contests prior to Tee Party have had 2 weeks of voting for every design, so we don’t start selecting winners until the scores are in. We often then have to liaise with judges to get their verdict and then have to get the art in. So typically it’s 3-5 weeks after the contest closes that we announce winners.

For this t-shirt design challenge we’ve changed things up a bit and all submissions have 5 days of voting and we also have the option of announcing winners over the course of contest. There’s no limitation on the number of runners up for t-shirts, we look at the community voting and Team Infectious works out which ones they think will sell and that we want to add to the catalog. The contest closes on November 4th and all the voting closes on November 9th. We’ll be launching all the rest of the tee designs in the month of November. Out of the ones that are introduced to the catalog the one with the highest community vote wins the $2000.

Does this all make sense?

Sorry ladies and gentlemen. We’re doing test prints at the moment. We’ve never done t-shirts before and we want to make sure the quality is top-notch. We don’t have a precise date nailed down for the launch. It will either be in next week or at the very beginning of January. We don’ want to launch right over the Holiday period. Apologies for the delay! We’ll keep you updated here in this thread.

@Rhys we have been selling more large sizes than we expected and yes we’ll definitely be using sales data to work out what the best combination of sizes will be. Looks like people are seeking out a looser fit.

Oh and the majority of the hot models are actually Infectious staff :)
